LightWerks updates National Guards Training Classrooms

LightWerks partnered with the Idaho Army National Guard to design and install state-of-the-art, hybrid learning ready technology in their training classrooms.  The classrooms are highly flexible, and can be divided or combined. The project involved the integration of collaboration solutions including the adaptability necessary to accommodate social distancing and  class size restrictions.  In addition to having the capability to support distance learning, the classrooms were programmed so that content from one room can be easily sent to additional overflow classrooms, thus accommodating the limited capacities associated with the pandemic.

The Idaho Army National Guard has standardized on Extron Electronics for audio, video switching and control systems. With Extron control, every instructor can use their assigned iPad to control any of the 26 classrooms on campus.  The sophisticated programming is made simple through Extron’s iPad application, which allows instructors to easily manage the content and flow of their technology. The spaces include Extron flat field ceiling speakers, QOMO interactive podiums for annotation, Sony BluRay players, and matrix switching for multiple sources to multiple 4K LG displays. Ceiling mounted Vaddio WideShot QUSB cameras and ClockAudio C 007EW ceiling microphones feed observation room for monitoring the instructor.   Lighting is controlled by nLIght nIOX lighting controllers.
