Getting Started with the iPad

In this two hour course, you will learn all about how to get started using the iPad. This is a beginning course, designed for a person who is new to the iPad. By the end of the course, attendees will know how to manage the hardware and basic software particulars of their iPad. The native iPad apps will be covered in this course. iPad required for workshop.

Getting Organized with the iPad

New to the iPad? Looking for apps that can help you get organized? Let your LightWerks trainer show you some of the tried and true iPad Apps we’ve discovered for teachers and administrators. Learn how to plan and organize your thoughts using your iPad, how to access documents stored on your computer with your iPad from anywhere, and even how to use your iPad to control your computer from any location in your classroom or on campus. All apps recommended are under $10 from the iTunes store(course fee does not cover cost of apps). Please bring your iPad to the workshop so that you can work hands-on with the apps.

iPad Apps for Creating

In this course, educators will learn about some of the most effective iPad applications for creating presentations, movies, photo projects, books and more. These apps can be used by both teachers and students! Educators will leave Apps for Creating with fantastic new ways to most effectively use iPads to create meaningful representations of concepts, skills, or stories.

iPad Plus Professional Development

Looking for a way to purchase an iPad, but coming up short with technology funds? With this PD plus equipment session, use your Professional Development funds to get an iPad and training at the same time. At the session you will receive your new iPad (32GB, Black, with WiFi), plus our Getting Started with the Apple iPad professional development course. In this two-hour course, you will learn all about how to get started using the iPad. This beginner course is designed for a person who is new to the iPad, and covers basic settings and native apps. Upon completion, attendees will have customized their iPad and will know how to effectively navigate through its commands, features, and applications.
