LightWerks equips university’s Conference Center with latest AV

LightWerks just completed the San Diego State University’s (SDSU) Tenochca and Tula Conference Center AV project. The Tenochca Center is a 2-story building that includes a first floor entry to Tenochca Hall and a second floor with apartments for residential education staff. The Tenochca Hall includes laundry facilities, community kitchen, a Star Center and a TV room/lounge area. Star Centers (Students Taking Academic Responsibility) are academic resource centers for on-campus residents. This STAR Center has an 80” LCD, HDMI laptop connection plate, dedicated Mac Mini and Solstice POD for wireless sharing. The TV room has a Roku tuner, HDMI connection and Solstice POD. Control is done via custom programmed 5” Extron Touch Link panel. The 3×1 video wall runs on the Spinetix HMP350.

The Tula Conference Center at SDSU will be used by a variety of campus departments throughout the school year and summer months. The Center is a single story building with a large conference area that can be divided into three separate/equal conference areas. It is set up with high brightness NEC laser projectorExtron Crosspoint switching and multiple Extron TouchLink Pro control panelsSolstice POD’s, laptop connections, Shure wireless microphones and Listen Assisted Listening system.  There is a digital signage display in the lobby with a Spinetix player and overflow audio to the courtyard.
