SMART Board and SMART Notebook Basics Beginning SMART Board Hardware and Notebook Software Training

The SMART Board Basics course is a comprehensive, three-hour hands-on professional development class designed to get the user familiar with SMART Notebook software. This course covers basic SMART Notebook software components such as toolbar basics, manipulating objects, customizing features, and use of Gallery Essentials. Ink Aware applications, using floating tools in other applications, and SMART Board hardware are also covered. After this course, users should be familiar with SMART Notebook software and be able to integrate the SMART Board into their curriculum.

SMART Beyond the Basics Intermediate SMART Notebook Software Training

The SMART Board Beyond the Basics course is a comprehensive, hands-on professional development class designed to get the user to the next level in their use of Notebook 11 Software. This course covers advanced Notebook software components such as creating themes, the screen capture tool, adding sound and linking files, the table feature, adding video, and page recording. Adding to My Content in the Gallery, organizing lesson pages, and advanced use of Gallery Essentials are also covered. After this course, users should be able to effectively integrate advanced features of SMART Notebook software into their curriculum. Make sure to bring a laptop to class pre-loaded with SMART Notebook software.

SMART Response Training

The SMART Response course is a 2-hour hands-on professional development class designed to show you how to effectively use your SMART Response system to increase student engagement in your classroom. This course is for those who currently have the SMART Response System in their classroom. The session covers how to start a class, add students, create and run a basic assessment, and run reports using the SMART Response System. After this course, users should be able to effectively use the SMART Response system to create and deliver assessments and review assessment results.

SMART Document Camera Training

Use your professional development money to acquire equipment! With the SMART Document Camera 101 class we will train you on how to use the SMART document camera and you get to walk away with the document camera after class. Please note that you will need to pay us 2 weeks in advance of the class to ensure that you walk away with your own document camera.Learn how to easily integrate your SMART document camera into Notebook software, allowing you to easily annotate over anything under your document camera. Also, learn how you will be able to use the Mixed Reality 3D feature of the SMART 330 Document Camera.

SMART Curriculum Integration Advanced SMART Notebook Software Training

The SMART Board Curriculum Integration course is a hands-on professional development workshop, designed to guide Notebook users to the next level in their integration of the SMART Board in lesson planning. This course is recommended to be taken at least a month after teachers have completed Beyond the Basics, so that they have the technical background and experience to make the most of this session. During the course, teachers will create an interactive, standard-aligned SMART Notebook lesson for use in their classroom. Curriculum development and lesson creation using SMART Notebook software are explored, including best practices, standard alignment, enhancing content, and utilizing SMART resources. After this course, users should be able to create a highly interactive and effective Notebook lesson that is aligned to curriculum specific to their classroom. Teachers should bring textbooks, pacing guides, or other materials with them to assist in the integration of current standards into the lesson they create.
