Establishing a longstanding collaboration with San Diego State University (SDSU), LightWerks continues its tradition of delivering cutting-edge audio-visual (AV) solutions for educational spaces. The latest addition to this partnership involves the transformation of the Cuicacalli Residence Hall’s multi-purpose room into a dynamic, flexible environment.

The heart of the modernization lies in a divide/combine feature that seamlessly transforms the large room into three individual spaces using airwalls. Control is streamlined through a tailor-made Extron control panel, ensuring user-friendly operation. Within this versatile setup, a striking 2×2 video wall, powered by 55” Sharp NEC displays, adds a visually captivating element.

To guarantee optimal audio quality, Extron speakers and Shure microphones have been integrated, ensuring clear sound distribution across all spaces. Moreover, each room incorporates Listen Technologies‘ assisted listening solutions, presenting users with wireless devices that deliver impeccable audio directly to the listener while minimizing ambient noise.

The integration extends to visual components as well, with AVer PTZ cameras enhancing the capture, streaming, and recording of participants and lectures. Equipped with AI-driven tracking functionalities, these cameras elevate the presentation of dynamic content. Additionally, the incorporation of Mersive Solstice pods facilitates wireless Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) connections. These pods empower both students and educators to share content, ideas, and knowledge seamlessly in real-time.
